Dominique W Pengelly

Director

Dominique has been described as one of the top 5 legal recruiters in London by the legal press. With a degree in Law and French, she is a qualified solicitor (non-practising) and specialised in International Banking and Ship Finance at elite City law firms Taylor Wessing and Watson, Farley & Williams before moving into legal recruitment.

Her degree in Law and French and her status as a qualified solicitor give her a level of technical credibility that is so important. Her professional background enables her to understand the legal market first-hand and she speaks the same language as the high-level candidates she recruits.

She is one of the most experienced and respected legal recruiters in the market, blending high-level practice experience with three decades of strategic recruitment expertise. She has been a partner and director at other leading legal recruitment agencies in the City. Dominique is a founding director and established PengellyO’Neill with Dianah O’Neill in February 2001.

Dianah O'Neill

Director

Dianah originally qualified as a solicitor at a major City of London firm, specialising in Insurance Litigation for four years.

She moved into legal recruitment, joining another leading search consultancy where she quickly became one of the most successful consultants there.

Dianah co-founded PengellyO’Neill alongside Dominique and focuses on lawyer placements for a broad spectrum of firms, including UK, US, and international practices.

Having practiced law herself, Dianah has a valuable understanding of the legal market and she understands the technical requirements of firms and the career pressures felt by candidates.

Dianah is widely considered a top-tier consultant within the London "City" legal market. She is noted for a relationship-driven approach, acting as a career advisor rather than just a one-time headhunter.

Dianah is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales, reinforcing her credibility within the legal community and candidates appreciate that she speaks their language and understands the regulatory and professional pressures they face.
